C&C is delighted to partner with Smart Works, the national charity that helps vulnerable women with high quality interview clothing and coaching to set them up for interview success. With Smart Works’ support, over one in two get the job, allowing them to reach their potential and start a new chapter in their lives.
At the core of Smart Works is its highly successful, two hour dressing and interview preparation service. A personal styling session ensures that clients look and feel their best, creating a brilliant first impression on their potential employer. A highly skilled volunteer interview coach then works one-to-one with each client in a compassionate and supportive way.
Our partnership with this amazing charity will range include volunteering time, collecting clothes and fundraising. This means volunteering in show rooms, with C&C founder, Lucy Chamberlain, also joining the volunteer coaching team. We’ll be running clothing drives to collect clothes from across our (well-dressed) community as well as getting strategic with fundraising events. We’re passionate about events at C&C so building on our fundraising track-record is where we can leverage our expertise and help Smart Works to grow their service.
Kate Stephens, CEO at Smart Works, comments, “Everything we do at Smart Works is made possible through partnerships. We’re delighted to have C&C on board and know that Lucy and the whole team will bring their passion and energy to the Smart Works family, as we go on to help even more women in 2019 and beyond.”
Lucy Chamberlain adds, “Giving back is at the heart of C&C’s vision. In Smart Works we’ve found a charity partner that cares as deeply about helping women in the workplace as we do. We’re thrilled to support them, and look forward to a hugely inspiring collaboration that helps women to move forward with their lives.”
