Key responsibilities for this Part Time Operations Manager position:
• Overseeing the smooth, day‑to‑day operations of two London guest houses
• Ensuring consistent operational standards across check‑in, check‑out, housekeeping and health & safety
• Acting as a visible Operations Manager on site, handling guest queries and resolving issues professionally
• Monitoring and responding to guest reviews across online platforms to improve ratings and feedback
• Supervising and supporting a team of approximately 8 staff, including rota planning and holiday cover
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and staff appraisals
• Managing bookings via hotel management systems, including online travel platforms
• Allocating rooms effectively and overseeing availability and occupancy
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering operational supplies
• Implementing health & safety updates and risk assessments from Head Office
• Working closely with Head Office, Operations and Accounts teams to resolve issues
• Feeding back operational insights, trends and improvement opportunities
• Assisting with business development initiatives and lead generation
• Contributing ideas to improve processes, efficiency and commercial performance

• Experience supervising staff or supporting team management
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident and calm when handling guests, queries and complaints
• Strong administrative skills and confidence using booking systems or CMS‑style platforms
• A proactive, practical and common‑sense approach
• Able to commute easily to SW London and able to commit to 2-3 days part time work
• Someone who enjoys being hands‑on, visible and making a tangible impact as an Assistant Operations Manager
• Proven experience in an operations or administrative role
• Experience supervising staff or supporting team management
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident and calm when handling guests, queries and complaints
