Business Manager – Head of Legal & Legal Team
Central London
2–3 days in office
£55,000 + Benefits
Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm

Are you a Business or Executive Assistant seeking a role at the heart of a busy legal function? Our client, is recruiting a discreet, highly capable Business Manager to support the Head of Legal and a team of five lawyers.

Why this role matters
You’ll be the operational backbone of the Legal team, ensuring that strategic projects run smoothly, governance processes are rock-solid, and the Head of Legal can focus on high-value legal work.

Key responsibilities
  • Act as right-hand to the Head of Legal, managing confidential diaries, meeting coordination and high-priority correspondence.
  • Drive operational initiatives policy roll-outs, process improvements and cross-departmental projects.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of Board and committee papers.
  • Cross-functional liaison: Partner with HR, Finance and other support functions to deliver seamless services (e.g. recruitment, budget tracking, expense control).
About you
  • Proven experience in a Business Assistant or EA role supporting a Senior Executive or Head of - ideally within Legal, Financial Services or Professional Services.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities, stakeholders and fast-moving deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, discreet, professional and can remain calm whilst under pressure.
  • Hands-on experience organising Board-level governance and committee processes (agendas, papers, minutes), highly beneficial.
  • Strong communicator with excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, independent and collaborative - you know when to take charge and when to partner with others.
