Job Title: Staffing Specialist

Salary: £38,000 - £50,000
LocationLondon – Hybrid working
  
What would I be doing day to day? 
Key duties: 
  • Partner with project leaders to understand client needs, project requirements, and resource demand.
  • Manage the staffing process by matching consultants’ skills, experience, and availability with project opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to consultants, balancing business priorities with career development and well-being.
  • Track and forecast resource utilization, identifying capacity risks and recommending proactive solutions.
  • Collaborate with Talent Management, Recruiting, and HR teams to address skill gaps and support workforce planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of staffing decisions and resource allocation in relevant systems.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on utilization, staffing trends, and pipeline demand.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and fairness in staffing decisions.

What is the company looking for? 
  • Prior experience in staffing/resource management, HR business partnering, or project operations—preferably in professional services or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of professional services staffing models and project lifecycle management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trust across levels.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with staffing or workforce planning tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
