C&C Search is currently recruiting an Accounts Reconciliation Temp for a legal organisation based in the West End, supporting a Data Analyst on a time critical finance project to bring historic financial data fully up to date.

Key responsibilities for this Accounts Reconciliation Temp position:
- Working through large volumes of financial data to reconcile accounts and bring historic records fully up to date
- Comparing incoming payments against statements and internal records, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Using Excel confidently, including formulas, to review, understand and work with existing spreadsheets provided by the Data Analyst
- Matching payments and data using initiative where information is incomplete or not clearly structured
- Working backwards through historic transactions to locate missing data and fill gaps in records
- Highlighting anomalies, errors and trends in financial data, and escalating complex issues to the Data Analyst where needed
- Ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately within the 4 day temporary assignment, supporting the successful completion of the wider project

You will have excellent attention to detail, a genuine enjoyment of working with numbers and data, and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly and accurately.
Strong Excel skills are essential for this role, including working with formulas and confidently understanding formulas already embedded in spreadsheets.
You should be comfortable comparing payments to statements, using your initiative to match data where information is incomplete, and working backwards through historic records to find missing entries. The successful Accounts Reconciliation Temp will be someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of their workload, work at pace without sacrificing accuracy, and make a real impact within this short term assignment.
