C&C Search is currently recruiting a Payroll Administrator for a growing financial services firm. Position: Junior Payroll Administrator – supporting a team of payroll professionals in a newly established payroll department
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Hybrid set up: Central London office, 3 days per week in office

Key responsibilities for this Payroll Administrator position:
- Assist with payroll processing for client portfolios across weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles
- Support statutory payment calculations and processing including SSP, SMP, SPP under supervision
- Prepare BACS payments and assist with payroll summary reports and analyses
- Respond to client payroll queries professionally and build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Support the implementation and use of Bright Pay payroll system
- Assist with accurate preparation of P60's and P11d's ensuring compliance with deadlines
- Support tax filing submissions to HMRC, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy across all payroll processes
- Liaise with IT department on payroll system upgrades and technical support
- Previous payroll or finance administration experience with understanding of UK payroll processes
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy – essential for payroll administration
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple payroll deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software (Bright Pay experience desirable)
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and stakeholder management
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll information
- Proactive approach to learning and developing payroll expertise
